Our sincere condolences regarding the East Japan earthquake

We would like to express our sincere condolences to the victims and all those who are suffering from the effects of the disaster caused by the earthquake and tsunami that struck the coast of northeast Japan on March 11th, and the aftermath.
Our only thought as the scale of the devastation becomes clear, is our strong hope for the swift recovery of the affected areas of our country.

The MICE industry has obviously been significantly impacted by this disaster. Yet, we believe that it is especially important at this time to focus on the promotion of MICE, and promotion of Japan as a tourism-oriented nation. All of us at the MICE Research Institute are committed to proactively taking initiatives in the belief that, through these efforts, we can contribute to the recovery of the people affected by this disaster in the northern and eastern areas of Japan, as well as strengthen Japan as a whole.

We sincerely appreciate the many encouraging messages we have received from our colleagues abroad, and we hope that through the concerted efforts in Japan and the warm support of the international community, the affected areas of our country can recover quickly.
